Typographic tees for the times of your life
I dreamed up typebaby while on maternity leave with my first kiddo. Since I couldn't find baby clothes that fit my design aesthetic, I sketched ideas in my rocking chair during the wee hours and typebaby was born.
My passion for typography—and my son's developing personality type—inspired the name and concept. I launched in 2013 with a collection of infant bodysuits sold in Chicago and Midwestern children's boutiques and gift shops. I have since expanded into kids and adult tees and accessories sold online. My top sellers are the Chicago-inspired Local Love tees.
I have been a small business owner since 2000 when I launched my branding and marketing design studio, Lidia Varesco Design, where I collaborate with nonprofits and mission-focused organizations in Chicago and beyond. I'm also a passionate supporter of fellow small businesses—especially fellow biz mamas. #locallove
